Delete your account

How to delete your WhiteBoard: The Coaching App account, what is deleted, and what is kept and why.

How

  1. Sign in.
  2. Open Settings — the gear at the top of the app.
  3. At the bottom, under Delete my account, type what it asks for and press Delete.

It happens at once. You’re signed out, and the account is gone. Nobody has to approve it — not us, and not your coach.

Sign in and go to Delete my account

Can’t sign in? Write to support@coachwhiteboard.com from the address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We delete it and tell you when it’s done.

What is deleted, and what is kept

If you train at a gym

Deleted:

  • Your account and your sign-in.
  • Every set you've logged, your maxes and your history.
  • Your check-ins, measurements and progress photos.
  • Your messages with your coaches.
  • Your sessions on the calendar and your place on the board.
  • Reminders on your devices.

Kept:

  • Payments your gym recorded for you — the date, the amount, how you paid and your name. The gym keeps them for its tax records for 7 years from each payment, then they're deleted.
  • The workouts your coaches wrote stay in your gym's library.

If you coach at a gym

Deleted:

  • Your account and your sign-in.
  • Your sessions on the calendar — every session booked with you, past and upcoming.
  • Your own training, if you train here: your logs, maxes, check-ins, measurements and progress photos.
  • The TV links that show your wall, and reminders on your devices.

Kept:

  • Everything you wrote — workouts, programs and the sessions on the board — stays in your gym's Library.
  • Your gym, its athletes and their results.
  • Payments clients made stay in your gym's records.

If clients are booked with you, ask the gym's owner to move them first.

If you own the gym

Deleted:

  • Your gym itself, and every account in it — every coach and every athlete.
  • Every program, workout and board, and every logged result, check-in, measurement and progress photo.
  • Every clip, Whiteboard drawing and uploaded photo.
  • Messages, and everything in Sessions, the payments recorded there included.
  • The gym's subscription, if it has one — canceled right away, so you won't be billed again.

Kept:

  • Stripe keeps its own record of the invoices you've paid.

Leaving, but the gym carries on? Hand it to another coach under Coaches, and then delete just your own account.

If you have a Pocket Board account

Deleted:

  • Your account and your sign-in.
  • Your workouts, programs and calendar.
  • Every set you've logged, your maxes, your goals check-in, measurements and progress photos.
  • Your TV link.
  • Your Pocket Board subscription, if you have one — canceled right away, so you won't be billed again.

Kept:

  • Stripe keeps its own record of the invoices you've paid.

Why anything is kept

A gym’s payment records. When a gym records a payment from a client in the app — a pack, a single session, a refund — that is the gym’s own record of money it took. It keeps the date, the amount, how it was paid and the client’s name for 7 years from each payment, for its tax records, and then they are deleted automatically. Deleting a whole gym deletes these too.

Stripe’s own records. Card payments for a plan go through Stripe, which keeps its own record of invoices and payments under its own obligations. We never see or store a card number.
